To: Kapawe’no First Nation Members
Kapawe'no First Nation has received limited funding from the Federal Government to help support First Nation businesses and microbusinesses. These include home-based, single-proprietorship, or family-run businesses with few to no employees, that are currently operating and have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding is to support business operational costs, such as supplies, rent, equipment, wages, and training. This support is intended for on or off-reserve member-owned businesses who are not eligible for existing business supports through the Government. For the first Phase of this process, KFN invites any member-owned business to complete the KFN Business Support Form. The information we require for Phase 1, includes:
· Name and type of business;
· How your business has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic;
· The area of supports needed for your business;
· How will your business use the financial support?
Please submit the KFN Business Support Form no later than
Friday March 5, 2021 at 11;59 PM.
Eligible Businesses will be contacted during Phase 2, no later than March 12, 2021. These Businesses will then be requested to submit a letter to Kapawe’no First Nation for final processing and reporting purposes.
There are 4 Phases:
Phase 1: Collection of responses from the KFN Business Support Form
Phase 2: Evaluation of responses and contacting eligible Businesses
Phase 3: Collection of letters from eligible Businesses
Phase 4: Distribution of financial support
Consideration will be given to Kapawe’no First Nation member-owned businesses who are registered and currently in operation. Please note that completing this form does NOT guarantee your business will receive support. The first phase is to provide information to Kapawe’no First Nation about your business and needs.
