Youth Services

Our Kapawe’no First Nation Youth Program is a program for youth between the ages of 12 to 19 years old.  The KFN Youth Program runs from September to June each fiscal year. Our youth group meets once a week.

Our program goal is:

TO PROVIDE THE KFN YOUTH THE OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE FOR A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

Our Youth Program is planned for the entire year with the exceptions to last minute changes such as upcoming events or workshops, cancellations and/or unexpected circumstances (funerals, etc.).

Some of the past activities we have done include:

Our intent is to keep the youth active and interested, so we like to rotate a learning activity and a fun & active activity.

Throughout the fiscal year, we like to get our youth involved with as much learning and active healthy life style information as possible. This is open throughout the fiscal year to any youth who would like to attend. It is beneficial for any youth who want to attend. To show our appreciation to the youth who attend 85% or higher attendance for every event or workshop planned, we like to take the youth to a year end trip. Our KFN Youth Group is also fundraising for themselves to help costs with the year end trip, so we really appreciate when community members and parents help with this.

PARTICIPATION IS THE KEY!
